[00:00:03] Welcome to the Making of youf. I'm Alexandria, the founder of youf Transformation Hub and the Mastery Project. And today we are looking at episode 35, Five Whys. Patience packs a punch, so why should we be patient? Wait a minute. [00:00:22] Time waits for no man, right? Sleep when you're dead. [00:00:25] Yes, in my teaching career I've heard all of those comments about patience and the go, go, go reality that we have created for ourselves. [00:00:38] So what I want to focus on today in these five points is the empowering nature of patience. [00:00:45] And perhaps that we might at the end of this all agree that patience has had a little bit of a poor write up. It hasn't been sold very well as a state of being and it's got a lot more benefits. [00:00:57] Thought, okay, let's get into it. Number one. [00:01:00] Well, a very big indication of stress, all right, and of people's degree of personal balance is about their capacity for patience. [00:01:13] So what we have had in the past, in the, Certainly the last 30 years of our society and globally, we've had a real speeding up of the demands of, from the external in our world and also for the financial demands all around us as we grow and develop and work and raise our families and live. And as a result, patience has perhaps taken a back seat. And so when I meet people who don't want to be patient, I totally understand why. [00:01:48] But we have to realize that patience is first and foremost a safety valve, all right? It is a vital indication to us, us about our degree of balance. [00:01:59] Now when we get so impatient, if you imagine that your mind is a circle, all right, so that means being in your head. You know me, when I talk about your mind, I mean your capacity to administrate your life. You're doing energy and thinking things through in a practical way. Well, if you imagine your mind has kind of been hijacked by the external governing officer, your ego and your ego's driving you behind you and saying, you've got to do this, you've got to do that, it starts stretching your mind out into the future. [00:02:32] Now, when that happens often if you're not that patient, you can't actually get that stretch to come back into alignment with your heart and with the now. [00:02:44] So my first point in number One is that our capacity for patience is a direct link to our ability to create effectively through balance. Now, you know me, I bang on about heart mind alignment in most of my episodes because it is such a crucial part of finding fulfillment, meaning, purpose and being successful in our lives by utilizing that incredible unlimited Potential that we have in our heart center, that energy that flows constantly. [00:03:17] So what patience is is a great sign of how now we are, how grounded we are and how balanced we are. [00:03:25] And if you wanted to imagine patience as a sign, you'd probably think about the earth signs in the astrological zodiac, like Taurus, like Virgo and Capricorn. Those people can often have some amazing capacities for patience. [00:03:45] So basically, if you are impatient by nature, it doesn't make it bad, all right? Because it can be a sign also that you're very hard heart open, very willing to risk, and have a big capacity for leaps of faith and discovering the unknown. [00:04:04] But patience is all about understanding where it fits, when it should happen, and how, as I said, to be in balance with that cycle when it arrives. If we go back to 2020 or go back to the COVID era, we can see how a lot of people literally were pushing themselves and didn't realize how far they'd sort of extended into future and were perhaps running on fumes. And so what happened was a lot of people kind of hit the deck, you know, just fell down in a heap when lockdown occurred and actually had to be patient because there were so many restrictions. There was a lot of slowdown in our world. [00:04:47] Now, again, I think a lot of people now may be looking back on lockdown and seeing it in a very different way and also seeing the positives that happened during that period. I know there were an awful lot of negatives, but also people seeing that if they were hyper stressed and very impatient about their lives, they got that chance to literally slow down because there was nothing else that could be done. [00:05:13] So please remember, patience is there as a kind of safety valve. It really does help us. And if you can grow your capacity for patience, then you're always going to be looking to be at your balance point, looking to be in the creative cycle that works best for you. [00:05:30] Alrighty. [00:05:32] So number two, the thing about patience for a lot of people is that I think it stems from self honesty in the sense that if we have truly, in creativity, done everything that we can think of in a step by step way, as we're progressively moving through what we want to do, moving our dream into reality, then I think it's extremely fair for us to say to ourselves, I just need to be patient now, because I have truly honoured all of the areas that I believe need to happen in order to create my dream. [00:06:13] So patience sometimes can be mistaken for apathy, it can be mistaken for laziness. [00:06:20] So I always say to people. If you want to know the difference between being patient and being apathetic or lazy, then it's definitely about the intention behind the space that has opened up, if you will, in your life, or the reason for you having to be patient now for patience in that part of your life. All right, it can be that you're out of the cycle of creativity and that you've kind of maybe pushed or forced a little bit ahead of yourself. So the universe is, and you're creative genius is saying to you, please, can you slow down, because you're getting out of alignment. [00:07:00] So the energy that's flowing through you and is your cosmic and hyper connection, if you will, your unlimited connection isn't working to the most efficient. It could be because you're too, you know, stretching too far into the future, or that you hanging out perhaps with criticisms or difficulties from the past. So you need to get back into now. [00:07:24] It's also a time to be patient when a lot of other magic and symmetries and alignments are occurring. [00:07:32] And a lot of them are immaterial, if not all of them. And so it's not something that your mind can sort of figure out or, or analyze or overthink. It's a place and a space where it is to allow the cosmic pieces to fall into place. [00:07:51] So I'm a big one to say to people, patience is an incredibly healthy place if, as I've said, you're being honest with yourself and you know in your heart of hearts, you don't need to tell anyone else, don't need to justify or explain it to others, but you know deep down in your heart that you have done everything that's required in order for your dream to manifest. [00:08:15] So that's when patience works brilliantly because it is literally downloading your dream into form. [00:08:22] And you'll know soon enough when that space kind of starts to evaporate again and activity and action and responses are required and taking responsibility, you know, making commitments, all of those things start cranking up again. [00:08:37] Then you realize that everything is realigning for the next big move forward, if not the delivery of a lot of what you've been wanting to create. [00:08:49] So yes, patience is vital for everything to align so that you can experience what you truly want to create. [00:08:58] Okay, Number three, Patience also is excellent when the universe is trying to get our attention, all right, and we're not listening. So it's not the universe that is out of alignment, it is us. [00:09:12] So often when we're asked to be patient, our higher guidance if you will, or our sense of expanded being. Our greater consciousness might have ways to talk to us or show us or have people, connections, opportunities that are beyond our mental sphere. We didn't know they were happening or we have no understanding at this time about what they represent. [00:09:37] But they want to come to us and say, hey, this could help. [00:09:43] So patience is not an obstacle. It's not a period just to sort of, you know, drum your fingers on the table. It's actually a time to also ask yourself, is there another way in this simple way, am I open to alternatives at this point so patients can actually give us a breather while everything aligns? And we actually could be receiving and, and being delivered through our, of course, heartfelt intentions to create a refinement or a next step that wasn't on the path that we have organized or committed to for ourselves. [00:10:22] So it's a way sometimes patients of overriding any ego desire for kind of my way or the highway, the only one way of doing something. [00:10:33] And it's, it's a way for our intuitive nature or our holistic combination of our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical selves, that combination to be able to message us and speak to us. [00:10:48] So please don't judge patience or having to be patient as bad. All right. That you haven't apportioned your time correctly or you're wasting time. Think of it very much as creating and going into and flowing into a quality experience. [00:11:04] So it is that way to step back and see that creative magic happening. And also, as I said, to make sure do your own check on yourself. Am I open hearted? Am I open minded? And to keep that flow and then to enjoy yourself, to relax, to detach. [00:11:21] Alrighty, number four. [00:11:24] Well, a lot of people say patience is simply boring. All right, now the word boring, we have to be a little bit. Whoa, that's an alarm. That's a flag. Because boring is often about external stimuli. So we're wanting something to give us attention, wanting something to spice up our life. We're looking at the issues of instant gratification and that isn't going to create what we truly want. [00:11:51] So the key with number four is patience is not boring. It is the time that we require to allow that energy to come from the immaterial because we know we're immaterially connected and for it to flow into, through the alignments and the efforts we're making, the conscious choices we're making into form. [00:12:13] So yes, we were conceived as a reality with linear time. That's something that we are Perhaps growing, transforming or evolving out of. But the more we are thinking that being patient is boring, the more we're not in now. And so we're not aligned fully with our creative capability. [00:12:34] So it's key that we look at patience as a state of being that is always helping us. Even if we don't understand fully how that help is going to come to pass, that we allow it to fall into place and as I've said, allow that creative magic rather than fighting it or deflecting it through judging patients or having to be patient as being boring. [00:13:02] Okay, number five. [00:13:04] Well, the last point that a lot of people say, oh, people being patient, they're just deluded, they're in denial. They're going, oh yeah, you know, it'll come along when it's ready. [00:13:12] Well, it all depends on your creative equation. [00:13:18] Now the intention behind that equation is vital in all conscious dreams coming into reality. And so there are some of us that get caught up in the ego misunderstanding that the universe is creating something for us or doing something for us, rather than us harnessing our infinite creative potential, that flow, that unique and individual connection we have. [00:13:46] And so if we are waiting for the universe to do it for us, I'm afraid we're not being patient. We're just being led around by our own limited self, our ego telling us porcupine's lies about the creative process. [00:14:03] Now if we are there, as I've said, waiting in the sense of allowing that flow to come into form because we truly hand on heart, I've done everything we think we can at that point, then we are in a responsibility state, a committed state, and it is to allow the universe to do its part of the co creation. [00:14:26] So if we're in a situation where the fulfillment is heart centric and we're now, then we're going to achieve that. But if we are in a situation where we're in denial and expecting the universe to do it for us, then of course we're not being patient. We're just, as I said, being bullied by our ego. [00:14:44] So do we want to hack patients? No, because there's no point in speeding it up. We need to be now and learn that patience is a vital part of the creative process. [00:14:56] Alrighty. Okay. I'm Alexandria and thank you very much for joining me today and I look forward to seeing you at episode 36. Thank you very much.
