[00:00:25] Okay, so this is episode 13, five ways to understand why Stillness is where it all happens.
[00:00:35] Okay, so what I mean by stillness, well, stillness to me can be a lot of different spaces or places, all right? And the key to stillness is to take your awareness away from the external, from the outside, chatter, stimulation your phone, the television, and to bring yourself into your heart space. Now, some people would call that lateral thinking, meditation, contemplation, or a walk in nature, for example, but it is very much dedicated to bringing you into a stronger alignment with the source of your own personal power.
[00:01:26] So it definitely all happens in the source of your own personal power, being your heart center and your consciousness, loving consciousness, unlimited potential, energy flow, that connection that I'm always talking about and asking you to use with your free will.
[00:01:47] So, number one, the stillness is where you can connect very effectively with your heart mind alignment. It's also important to say that it's a place where we can also connect with our feminine energy. So what do I mean by that? Well, feminine energy for me is not about being a lady, all right? It's about an energy source that we all have. So if we can imagine feminine energy not as a label, all right, as in a gender, but feminine energy as the capacity to receive unconditionally the receptive energy, the sensitive energy, the sentient energy. So all of those aspects, our touchy feely self, our ability to look at a project from a creative and lateral perspective, then that is very much in alignment with your inner stillness. Now, it doesn't mean that you can't do the masculine bit, which is the doing and the planning and all of the intellectual logistics, time management, etc. But the core of stillness is going to be engaging the heart center. And the heart center is definitely that beautiful portal.
[00:03:14] So it's key to understand that stillness has so much going on simply because it is supporting that beautiful unending connection. And by choosing to go there, you're supporting yourselves because you're plugging up, plugging in, you're fueling up your energy connection. And also you're rebalancing your masculine energy and feminine as well as realigning your heart mind alignment. So it is basically a huge flow of energy and that can really, really support you in anything that you're creating anything you're being and anything you're doing in your daily life.
[00:04:02] This is why a lot of people are choosing much, much more than ever before to go within. Okay, not to avoid out there, all right, I know sometimes out there is not very nice place, but it's more a question of choosing to harness your free will in dedicating to your unique energy connection.
[00:04:27] So, number two, why can it be quite hard to do? Well, as we know, the external is always going to be vying our attention. I call it the external governing officer. Some people would call that ego, some people would call that simply the external and physical world that surrounds us when we are in our mind. All right, we have got a strong connection with that too, because of course, the mind is about administrating our practical and daily life. Now, the limited self, which you can hear outside too, all right, is going to be saying, stay inside the cube. Stay with physical aspects that you can measure. Stay with all of the known quantities in your life. Don't risk, don't innovate, don't go within and sort of try and deal with that immaterial nonsense. Be outside or be in your mind and navigate life there.
[00:05:33] So the reason it's quite hard sometimes to go within is because it does require some courage, some self belief and also a little bit of a mini leap of faith to actually go, hey, I'm going into something that has no form and I can't really see a tangible physical benefit, but I am actually prepared to take the risk and do it. So if you're in your head, it's much more likely that your limited self is going to try and talk you out of doing that. If you're out and about, if you're embroiled perhaps in a box set binge or an argument with someone or an external activity, then that degree of action and that degree of materiality, it can be quite hard to let go of that because we can easily get attached to doing things, physical activities.
[00:06:29] Now, the reason for that is simply because physical activities are often very comforting to us. It's a little bit like thinking habitually about our worries or the things that we have to do or obligations.
[00:06:43] We will literally find that bizarrely comforting. So the key for me about creating stillness and actually is creating a time in your day when you can dedicate to stillness for a period. All right, now it might be five minutes, it might be half an hour, it might be 20 minutes, it might not have any time frame. And I think that actually is perhaps the healthiest because you're not trying to measure your connectedness. So you just go into a place where you won't be disturbed, turn your phone off, turn the ways that people can connect you off, and be with Mother Nature. That's one great way to do it. Be with the elements. For example, go to the seaside, listen to the sea, or be in a forest like the Japanese say, Go forest bathing in all of that beautiful green or, you know, the amber, perhaps, of the autumn colors, and immerse yourself in a connectedness that isn't anything to do with measurement, judgment. It's all to do with that loving, infinite connection. Now, some people do this very effectively, literally by closing their eyes. Because a lot of the information that we process on our in our daily lives is from our visual stimuli. All right? So often people find it easier to go within by closing their eyes. I think the key is as well for people who say, well, I don't know if I believe in meditation or I don't know what I'm doing, then simply to do this on your own. Because if you do, then you're in a great space to be able to be judgment free, judgment free of yourself. And also perhaps if you do worry about the judgments of others, you're free of that as well.
[00:08:45] Oh, it's raining. Okay, number three, stillness is an immaterial productivity. So that's how I'd like you to change your perception of stillness. A lot of people see going within or the still state as actually unproductive. All right? You're not doing anything. You're not getting anything done. And so it's a bit of a waste of space or a waste of time. But as I often mention in my podcasts, we've often got that perception of creativity the wrong way around. So we think creativity starts with doing, when actually, as we are really understanding in the consciousness shift of our time. Creativity starts with the immaterial vision, with the inspiration. As Einstein said, imagination is much more important than knowledge.
[00:09:37] So it starts with that raw energy, that connectedness that we've all got. And of course, as we've been discussing today, the connectedness is so much easier and so much more tangible in our sensitivities and sentience, through being in a space of stillness, okay? So we can really get into surrendering into that flow and allow that flow to show us what it's actually helping us with.
[00:10:11] So stillness is a vital part of our immaterial productivity, and it gives us lots and lots of ways to, for example, download solutions to any questions or problems. That we have to download alternatives and a fresh perspective. It helps us rejuvenate our sense of self because we are plugging in, literally, to the unlimited source. And we're choosing to do it, and we're doing it consciously.
[00:10:46] Okay, so number four. Well, I think that stillness also is vital today because there is a lot of vibrational shift around us. And I think the vibrational natures around us sometimes can be a little bit distracting. For example, if you work in the recording business, you are surrounded by a lot of electronics all day. If you work in hospitals, you're surrounded by a lot of chemicals.
[00:11:18] If you work in schools, you might be surrounded by a lot of rowdy kids. So it's a situation where stillness really helps us get back into our personal vibe, our personal energy, and to help us plug in, as I've said, and connect with our unique energy connection.
[00:11:42] So when we're still, we're sort of fluffing and buffing, if you will, our energetic connection. Because obviously, with all the different stresses and the different adaptations during our daily life, our energy field can get sometimes magnetized out of its center through dramas and through shock or through sudden adaptation. It can also get dragged out by literally, as I've said, excessive electronics or different waves around us that aren't particularly natural to our embodiment.
[00:12:19] So the key with stillness is with your own free will, you can connect and consciously choose to realign yourself in perfect ways to support, for example, great health, great peace of mind, feeling balanced, and also feeling comfortable and worthy and happy and fulfilled as you are in your uniqueness.
[00:12:46] All right, so last point today, number five.
[00:12:50] I think that stillness is very much reminding us that there isn't just one world to live in, which is often considered to be the external world and the world form. So what our beautiful inner stillness helps us understand is that there is. There are a lot of dimensions of ourself. There are a lot of worlds that we can live in. And it's not, shall we say, with the intention of escapism, but the sense that, gosh, our greatness comes from our connectedness to the stillness that brings us that immaterial uniqueness and recognition of it.
[00:13:33] So my last point today is you can realize through stillness about just how much you've got to offer as a person, just how worthy you are, and get really excited about your own potential by being there. And it's not doing it is, of course, being. But that stillness is a constant reminder of your infinite potential.
