[00:00:03] Welcome to the Making of you. I'm Alexandria, founder of Your Transformation Hub and the Mastery Project. Welcome to this podcast. All my podcasts are about helping us change our mind, helping us see the big picture of our lives and how we can be in a space of meaningful, purposeful, prosperous and joyous experience. [00:00:28] So what are we looking at today? Well, it's episode 42. And. And it's five whys to shift your perspective. [00:00:37] Okay, number one, let's dive. Right, number one is all about changing your mind or changing your perspective. And why do we need to do it? Well, often, yes, life can be stressful, challenging. It can also cause us to take refuge in inside the cube, inside our heads, and in ways that we feel are kind of safe or fail safe or give us a sense of comfort. Now, the problem is that if we do authentically want to expand, then we can't live inside the cube all of the time because that isn't going to be a place that's going to give us an authentic different or help us move forward in authentic expansion. [00:01:26] So at some point, the first thing we need to understand about ourselves is, is our perspective only something that we're generating in our head? And are we holding on much more to what we know and what our ego says? It's kind of my way or the highway, rather than being open to a bigger and less limited horizon. [00:01:51] So one of the biggest issues with a shift in perspective is we might not be aware that we need one, or we might be aware we need, but we're kind of hanging out inside the cube, hoping that we can stay here as long as we want to. So just remember, ego isn't here to help you be expansive, take risks, or to change your mind about whatever circumstance you're in. Ego's here to reinforce my way or the highway or to reinforce existing conditioned ways and mostly limited or fearful reactions to change. So just understand, ego is the king of the mind, hangs out there with a big desk and it can be quite impressive. And it can also make us feel quite fearful about the possibility of change. So if you are stuck in one single perspective and you're really struggling to embrace change, then what are we going to do? We're going to do number two. Okay, so what is number two? Well, anyone who is a fan of my podcast will have heard me talk about the heart. Heart mind alignment. And this is an absolute go to for all types of transformation, all shapes and sizes, and all areas of ourselves. So what do I mean by heart mind alignment? Well, yes, we need our mind because we do need to administrate whatever changes we want to do so that beautiful harmony, shall we say, between cosmic and common sense. So the mind is great for administrating our life and great for the lists, the practical timelines being, shall we say, on budget and on time for whatever we want to deliver in the physical world and in our daily lives. But the heart is the absolute central connection that we have to everything else. And that beautiful immaterial connection to our inspiration, to our greater consciousness, all the aspects and dimensions of ourselves that are outside the physical. And of course, most importantly, it is our connection to the infinite fuel that we need to create any type of transformation or any type of shift in perspective. So the nature of the heart mind alignment means if we're two in our minds, two in our heads, right, and not enough in our heart center, then we're out of alignment. And that beautiful flow, if you imagine of infinite, unending, constant flow of energy that we need, we need that fuel to make our changes. [00:04:36] We're going to kind of be stepping away from that or moving to the side of it. So we're actually going to be wasting that energy or not getting the full efficient use of it. So the more we sort of put ourselves, you know, 50, 60, 80% in our heads, then actually we've probably only got 20% contact with our heart and that means only 20% fuel. So always remember number two, keep your heart mind alignment close. Do your best to maintain a constant awareness of being open hearted and open minded. This does not make you gullible, all right? It simply says you are open to possibility, whatever that may be. And when you are, your perspective then can adapt. It can continually expand gently and smoothly as you move through your daily life. And you've got the option that you're always fueling yourself. So if when your expansion of perception occurs, you go, hey, I've got more options, I've got more alternatives to how I can approach this, not just what I thought I knew then you're in a great place because you've got the fuel as well. And you can start contemplating how you're going to make whatever leap of faith or whatever adaptation or whatever transformation or change that you'd like to make. And also the heart mind alignment is very much incorporating how you feel and how you want to feel when you create that shift. All right, so it's a incredible, as I've said, go to 101 of creativity and of self loving support that you have basically a strong and as Much as you can, strong overlap between your heart and mind and that you have that connection of the fuel of what you want to do and also the practical mental acumen to make those lists and to get the job grounded in the material. [00:06:37] Okay, so now we've got the willingness to admit we need to change, all right? And we don't want to rely on our heads and our ego and our mind and resistance. We've got the fuel, we've got a nice balance between our heart and mind. So number three, what are we going to do for that particular expansion? So that shift in our perspective? [00:06:58] Well, another way to be able to always have an open perspective to life or be able to and willing to shift is to consider that outside ourselves is a reflection of inside ourselves. And so if we're open inwardly, then we're often going to exchange easily with the least amount of struggle or resistance with the outside flow. So the key with our horizon, if you will, if you want it to constantly unlimit and you always want to be open to shifting and changing, then you do need to view out there as being neutral. Not a bad thing, not a good thing, just a whole lot of energy that's neutral. And it's up to you and your consciousness and your alignment as to how you see that new co creating with you in order to get that expansion and that shift that you want. Now, a lot of people find the unknown a bit daunting. And if you can make it neutral, then you've already come a huge way not to create resistance in whatever risks or whatever creativity or whatever newness you want to become more comfortable with or more aware of in the sense of nervous, the benefit to you. [00:08:19] So allowing outside to be neutral, all right? Not anticipating that it's bad, aggressive, angry, against you, any of those things, but you're just saying it's neutral. And it's up to me to fashion and co create with this flow of energy. So don't judge what's out there, all right? Because you're actually unfriending the whole of the universe in a broad way, all right? Because you're saying all the energy is not safe, it's not, not kind, it's not whatever, rather than saying it is what it is, it's energy. And it's here potentially to co create with me. And so don't judge it, allow all possibilities. And then you're going to be magnetizing effectively, you're going to be empowering yourself and you're always going to be giving yourself that golden gift of Choice and saying to yourself, I've always got a choice. And of course, that there is an endless flow and endless connectedness between my heart center and my greater expansion and between my heart and what is outside, what is in that new perspective just waiting to arrive. [00:09:29] So don't resist, please. Number three. And see the energy as neutral. [00:09:35] Okay. Number four. Well, one of the best ways to expand your perspective so be willing to embrace and look at other alternatives is to also, also accept that our creative process, of course, is full of immaterial qualities and immaterial input as well as material. And I think a lot of people can over focus on the material portion when actually they haven't really been looking at the immaterial aspects. So does this shift in perspective afford you, offer you promise or kind of give you a hint that you're going to be in a more beneficial place? Well, it will if you're going to be in that intention for yourself that you want to magnetize something that you're going to feel in alignment with, you're going to feel enthusiastic about, you're going to be inspired, you're going to really feel it's of benefit to you. But you might not know the form exactly, but it's a really big support to yourself and to encourage you to shift your perspective if you can realize the feelings, the reason behind what you want to create as an alternative or as a different view and to allow that to breathe, as it were, and to come to you and of course flow through you. So a lot of people go, I want the form to be exactly this. So they've got this shift in perspective, but what they've done is they've done it in their heads. So they've shifted to how they think it should be in one format and gone, look, I'm so transformative because I've shifted to this other format. But often they're very similar or there hasn't been that middle ground in the sense of the unity between heart and mind and the allowance of the whole, whole creative shift, all right, the whole perception shift being that you're letting go and allowing that to be both an immaterial experience and a material one. So if you're letting go, all right, you don't have to make it work. And a lot of people hold on to their existing perspective because they think, oh, I know how it works, it's comfortable, it's safe, and I can make this work. When the more we make things work often and the less flowful they are and the more struggle will be magnetizing to ourselves and potentially the less fulfilled we will become. [00:12:04] So when we start talking ourselves into things going, oh, you know, I'll make it happen, we already know that we could be in a place where we're exclusively in our heads and actually not that aware or open hearted or open minded. And so our perspective suffers because we're just focusing in on very limited choices. [00:12:26] Okay, number five. Well this one a lot of people will argue with me about. I think that's very healthy in the sense of to have differing perspectives. Boom. But I always say to people choice is a state of being, all right? And it is a place that reflects the infinite connection that we all have. Our divine spark, our divine connection are endless connection with all that is all the energy in the universe. So my point for number five is just remember that there is always choice. All right? Now a lot of people go, oh no, a lot of people don't have any choices. You do have a choice. Even if your choice is to do nothing, that is still a choice. Now I know that sounds a bit pedantic. What I prefer to say to people is just beginning be in that state of believing that in your life there is always choice, that there's always a flow of opportunity flowing into your world through you and you're always connected to the possibility of everything changing. Now that's not because you kind of want to freak yourself. It is because you are self loving and saying, look, we understand that the universe is constantly flowing, constantly changing. Everything in our everyday life is always changing and it's about us getting in the flow, not isolating ourselves in our heads and thinking that we can control out there. [00:13:53] So to think, if you want to shift your perspective for a rebirth, you want to get a new job, you want to rejuvenate your health, you want to change your level of fulfillment, then if you're going to shift your perspective, it's definitely to say to yourself, I do have a choice. But perhaps my choices have become so limited because I haven't actually worked on being aware of my, for example, heart, mind alignment, my self awareness of how receptive I am and also the fact that I've just got to entertain some degree of risk if I'm going to be able to expand that horizon of opportunity that I'm looking at.
