[00:00:02] Welcome to the Making of youf. I'm Alexandria, founder of the Mastery Project and you'd Transformation Hub. And now this podcast. The series is dedicated to harnessing your unique potential, the tools, insights, wisdoms for purpose and personal empowerment and having fun, becoming the architect of your own life. [00:00:24] Alrighty, let's get into it. This is episode 17, five ways to to Stop Overthinking. [00:00:32] All right, so my number one, you're going to say, I know what you're going to do. Yes I am. I'm going to do it. So we're going to look at heart mind alignment. If you've listened to my other episodes, you'll know I'm very big on this because I want everyone to be able to harness their creativity effortlessly and enjoy the process and find it fulfilling. [00:00:57] So one of the key ways to utilize a hundred percent of your energy potentially is to get your heart mind alignment built. So what do I mean by that? Well, we have a limited self, all right, that likes to live inside the cube and lives in our head, all right, in the office of the mind. And it is always going to ask us to support its worries, security, stay inside the cube, don't seek alternatives, ask a load of questions and try and solve them, but basically keep us there and drain our energy by endlessly thinking or trying but not applying. So when we get a heart mind alignment, we recognize that the mind is going to ask a lot of questions and that is fabulous, extremely healthy and very important in all of our self empowerment process. But also it's to remember that if you want to get answers to those questions, you need to then go to your heart center because that is the infinite portal of energy, of your potentiality, of your connectedness and it's got basically all the answers. [00:02:12] So if you want to create alternatives and you want to use your energy well, then overthinking is not going to help you remotely because it is literally going 10 rounds in your mind, in your head, with your limited self. And your limited self loves to then start massaging dialogues about oh, don't bother about change, it won't work, it's useless, or you've tried and you're so exhausted, just have a break, give it up, etc. Etc. So when you've got your heart mind alignment, you acknowledge that that type of round of houses going around and around the same subjects without any answers isn't helping you. So you immediately go, oh, I've got a question, I'm going straight into my heart to get download of answers, alternatives, possibilities of how to go about answering this question. [00:03:08] So if we're in our heads and stay in our heads, there's a high likelihood that we are going to be exhausting ourselves in the long term because we're simply overthinking without nourishing the answers and the alternatives that are going to bring us fulfillment. So, number one, stop overthinking. Get in your heart, all right, and manage your heart mind alignment with lots of self love and lots of self discipline, okay? Number two, well, realize that overthinking is often reinforced with fear and justifications and control rather than looking at co creation. All right? So we can get into overthinking because our, again, limited mind or our inner critic is attempting to pile all the creative responsibility on us, won't sort of let us out of our mind to answer our questions in our heart, sort of holds us to ransom in our heads or hijacks us into saying, well, you're the one who's got to solve this. You're on your own. You've got no other help. You have to do this. So it sort of picks us apart by literally putting all of the responsibility for creating the alternative, but giving us none of the energy or potentially the help in order to achieve that. So if you imagine yourself, you're basically looking up through a whole pile of chairs, all right? They're stacked up like a bonfire and you're looking up through them and you're just seeing all the legs and all this sort of entwined wood and all that chaos and you know you can't climb through it, all right? And you're kind of stuck just looking up, going, ugh. Those are all the attachments, if you will, to not actually getting anything done. And that's really what overthinking actually is. It's a kind of a matrix of higgledy piggledy chair legs all stuck together. And navigating through that is literally a waste of your incredibly valuable energy. So that's what happens with the overthinking. You just get all of these sort of fears and shards of thoughts piling up, all right? And they're not helping or supporting you. So the key always is to be honest and say, I'm not actually achieving anything. All I'm doing is creating a whole pile of fear or reinforcing fear or attached to working it out in my head. But all I'm doing is lowering my frequency. I haven't got the energy connection there and I need to get into my heart center, the portal of infinite alternatives and opportunity and Stop kidding myself that in my head I'm going to work this out, because I'm not. If I want to have a higher consciousness perspective, I still need to be in my heart. All right, so number two, realize overthinking is just this whole shard of intersecting unhelpful spiky bits that are draining your energy and they aren't helping you move forward or be fulfilled in what you want to achieve. [00:06:33] Okay, number three, well, when we get into being at the bottom literally of that whole weird sculpture of all those chairs piled on one another and all those intertwined attachments and fears in our life that we've been reinforcing, what we end up doing is we end up showing that to the rest of the world, literally, because it starts being a whole maze and lattice of resistance. All right? So people go, God, am I going to get through all of those chair legs and that pile up over there to actually speak to that person or to actually help that person or to actually deliver some alternatives that I know they were thinking about sort of last week or three weeks ago, probably not that motivated to do that for you. Therefore it's to understand that overthinking, not only is it draining your energy, but it's also putting up potentially barriers to other people to actually be able to help you or for that beautiful cosmic UPS guy to actually deliver to you exactly what you've been working on creatively. So delivering you the form or the opportunity or the meeting. [00:07:47] So clutter in our energy field from overthinking is one of the highest resistance barriers that we can create. And sadly, because thinking has been confused with our consciousness and our heart space, we think if we really try really, really hard in our heads, that miraculously something's going to happen when actually it's to identify that that question is brilliant, very important to pose, but need to get into our hearts to answer it. And that's if you like the self loving activity, if you want to call it a habit, that is a self loving habit. I would really love you. To get into is to recognize, am I trying? Am I forcing? Oh yeah, I am. Okay, no judgment, just gonna go into my heart and start downloading. Start really combining with all the energy and potentiality there and with the other dimensions of my consciousness as well. Because the heart is that infinite portal and gateway. [00:08:50] So number three, don't surround yourself with a lattice of coulda, woulda, shoulda, don't know what to do. Procrastinate, overthink, project, whatever the construct of your overthinking just realize you do not need that barrier around yourself because it's sending away the very aspects, forms, experiences, help that you need. So another reason not to overthink. [00:09:19] Alrighty, number four. Well, when we overthink, there is also a tendency to move into a less balanced and more polarized state of being. So if you imagine a balance being in the center of yourself and in your heart, center and your heart and mind balanced together, the more you drag yourself with worry and with overthinking outside of yourself, then the more likelihood you are to be scattering your energy outside of yourself. Now, when you do that, because you're thinking about, oh, this could happen, or oh, gosh, is that person doing what I told them to do, all of those particular scenarios, scenarios, it's a bit like saying you're planting seeds outside of yourself instead of planting them in your heart where they'll grow effectively, be nurtured, watered, fed and helped. So all the seeds that you're scattering outside yourself are just going to grow obstacles, basically. So more of those chair legs, more of the struggling to create scenario because there isn't any water out there and there isn't any nurturing or fuel or feeding. [00:10:35] So it is always to realize the bigger the polarity, unfortunately, the more stress you're going to be under attempting to create in that environment. So there's a higher likelihood that you're going to be even more fearful about the future. You're going to actually create a lot more draining and polarized scenarios to treat yourself badly with, essentially. [00:11:04] So the key with overthinking is if you start getting on a roll or get fixated again, is to jump back into your heart as soon as you can so you don't start feeling literally that you're a victim of your circumstances or you've worked your situation with the overthinking into a scenario where you're so polarized you actually have or have convinced yourself you've got no options whatso whatsoever. [00:11:30] So break the cycle. We have 78,000 on average thoughts a day. All right, Very simple. Just get back in your heart and focus on what you want. So if you find yourself wandering into overthinking and, you know, trying to control and feeling that you are powerless or having problems with answering what is happening in your life, get back in your heart, energize everything that you want there and then, all right, keep reinforcing that and stay in that balance. [00:12:07] Okay, number five, last point on this little journey. Okay, Physical stimulants. All right, I'm gonna Say it. All right. Overthinking can often, often be kicked off with coffee, with foods that are highly agitating. For example, a lot of sugar, a lot of caffeine or the opposite, a lot of deprivation. So not eating regular small meals, that can be incredibly helpful to balance and the sense of nourishment. So you can start overthinking or becoming obsessive or becoming stretched out mentally if you like, literally, because you haven't had enough food. And so your adrenaline kicks in that sheer fight or flight element. So that can raise the potential for fear and just generally feeling agitated. And of course your body's just trying to tell you you haven't been fed and you haven't been nurtured. So coffee on an empty stomach is a classic for putting people into their heads to take action and be very quick. But sadly that can cause the opposite effect because they're spending far too much time in their heads and not enough in the answers and the creative solutions in their heart. [00:13:24] So try and avoid physical stimulants if you can. And it's basically just be in that balanced place. Please eat. Please eat when you get up, please eat at work. And if you can't find alternatives, there's a plan. There's plenty of products out there for people to have liquid lunches and I don't mean booze, to be able to support a really healthy diet and continual nutrition for your system. [00:13:52] Okay. All righty. It's been my pleasure today to talk about reducing, overthinking and putting that beautiful valuable energy that is naturally yours, your infinite potential, into creating what is of self loving, fulfilling and purposeful value for you.
